- Exploring Knoxville’s numerous parks and outdoor spaces
Summer (June-September):
Prepare for hot and humid summers, with temperatures often reaching the 90s. While it can be intense, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the season:
- Cooling off by kayaking, tubing, or paddle-boarding on nearby rivers and lakes
- Attending outdoor concerts and food festivals
- Escaping to the cooler temperatures of the Great Smoky Mountains
Fall (Late October-November)
Many consider fall the most beautiful season in Knoxville. The city and surrounding areas burst into vibrant autumn colors, and temperatures cool to a comfortable 60-70°F. As a new resident, you can look forward to:
- Taking scenic drives to see the fall foliage colors throughout the region
- Enjoying family-friendly events like Boo at the Zoo
