
What is the Sunsphere?
The Sunsphere is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Knoxville, Tennessee. Built for the 1982 World’s Fair, this gold-glass tower still stands tall in World’s Fair Park, offering incredible views and a glimpse into Knoxville’s past.

2. Learn About the 1982 World’s Fair
Inside the observation deck, you’ll find exhibits and displays that explore the history of the 1982 World’s Fair. Look through vintage photos, memorabilia, and videos that tell the story of Knoxville’s moment on the world stage.
3. Visit the Gift Shop
There’s a small gift shop located on the observation level where you can pick up souvenirs and Sunsphere-themed items. Purchases help support the ongoing maintenance of this historic site.
